My name, as you’ve probably guessed by now, is Paul. I am the CEO, designer, manufacturer, head of shipping and quality control here at Paul’s Plugs. I run every aspect of my business, so if you’d like to comment on the product or service you’ve received, I’m the man to talk to.

My voyage into body modification started around 1985 with my first ear piercing. Since then I have been pierced many times and have accumulated many tattoos. I get tattooed quite frequently at Inkredible Tattoo, and I don’t see myself stopping any time soon. It was at that very shop where I first discovered stretched earlobes.

Not long after that I started stretching my own lobes and began making wood plugs for my own use while going up in sizes. The piercer had never seen wood plugs and approached me to see if I would make some to sell in his shop. Before that I never zeroed in on the possibility of making plugs for sale. Who knew that people would want to buy stuff I made for myself?

My first real venture into custom work started in 2003 when I joined BME’s community site where people continuously requested my products. I never thought that my hobby would soon become my career and that I would start my own business, selling plugs all over the world.

While I definitely put a considerable amount of work into all the plugs I make, my passion lies with custom orders. I enjoy collaborating with my clients on the design of each pair, and creating exactly what they had envisioned. Nothing gives me more satisfaction than hearing a customer say their new plugs are their favourite.

Based in Atlantic Canada, I have built many strong business relationships with my suppliers to ensure that I stock only the highest quality wood available to offer my customers. I take great pride in knowing that I produce some of the highest quality jewellery you will find on the market today. I have created plugs for individual customers, tattoo shops, and distributors in the USA, England, France, Denmark, Sweden, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand just to name a few.

My business includes wholesale orders as well as individual retail sales. Prices vary depending on the type of wood being used, the size of the plug, and the style of the plug being created. Please know that I am eager to work on any custom designs, however some designs simply can’t be fit into a small gauge plug.  I look forward to expanding my wholesale business and encourage interested companies to email me for an individualized quote.
